Probate, Trust & Guardianship Appeals

Jeffrey Skatoff handles appeals of probate and trust matters in the appellate courts of Florida.

Orders in Florida probate cases can be appealed if the order finally determines the right or obligation of an interested person, as defined in the Florida Probate Code.  The filing of probate appeals is subject to a strict 30-day deadline after the issuance of an order. The appeal of a Florida trust matter is also subject to the same strict deadline.

Should you be on the losing end of a probate or trust dispute in Florida, we can review your case from a fresh perspective and identify potential winning arguments for your appeal.  If you have prevailed at the trial court level, our attorneys can help you defend an appeal filed by the losing side.

Some of our recent appellate success:

Weiser v. Weiser, 2014 Fla. App. LEXIS 5156 (Fla. Dist. Ct. App. 4th Dist. Apr. 9, 2014).

Boren v. Rogers, 243 So.2d 448 (5th DCA 2018).

Mariani v. Mariani, 125 So.3d 222 (4th DCA 2013).
